Narratives
While working on the series Out of the Past, Patricia Carr Morgan became interested in her deconstructed narrative and the new possibilities that were opened. Just as our personal narratives evolve as we learn new information, the artist added new images to these film frames, hoping the viewer will enjoy them and build a new story around them. The Narratives are juxtaposed images that include film frames, the artist’s own photography, and vernacular photographs.
Some of these works are included in the exhibition Reality is a Good Likeness, launched by the University of Arizona Museum of Art, Tucson, Arizona.
