Relics
When she was a teenager, Patricia Carr Morgan’s family home and all of their belongings were destroyed. Ever since, she has had an interest in personal history and memorabilia. Over the years, objects collected from estate sales have filled her studio. As she uses these objects in installations and photographs, they have become part of her own history and Relics is a record of just a few of them. Using a flatbed scanner, she has photographed them alone, grouped together, and occasionally combined with miscellaneous clutter found in her studio. These images represent only part of that inventory.
