Alligator Balls and Cotton Candy: unmediated reality

Patricia Carr Morgan continues the exploration of multiple realities and popular culture. With her images from county fairs across America, she showcases the unique expressions of individual communities uncontaminated by global and national considerations. From alligator balls and blue ribbon wines to live sheep-butchering and pony rides, this distinct series explores the many inlets to American culture.

Some of these works are included in the exhibition Reality is a Good Likeness, launched by the University of Arizona Museum of Art, Tucson, Arizona.
